Hi folks! Viperman here with an e-body question!!!
"WHAT?!?!" You say??!
This'll hopefully be easy. Does anyone have pictures of the motor mounts for a BIG BLOCK motor that are still attached to the front frame/cross member? I'm looking to see how the motor mounts are configured and if they might perhaps be the same as a mid-50's engine. Kinda wondering if I can pull a 270 and more-or-less drop in a 383/400/440...
Personally I would build the Hemi :alan2cents:
Not the greatest but maybe you can zoom them out to see better?
Well hey I replied EVENTUALLY... :) That looks like it wouldn't be super-hard to adapt to my front cross member, but I'll have to sort out an oil pan when I get to that point. In fact, I wonder if an oil pump will be an issue... I'll have to get back to this later!!
Did you guys break out the polish before photographing those engines? :bravo:
Just to show off my 383 HP beauty!
If your wanting easy-stock motor mounts maybe consider 1973 76 charger gtx satellite 400 440 spool type mounts. Easy to make a bracket that welds to the crossmember or frame rails.
