Title: Aluminum AN Fitting Wrench(s)
Post by: Daveh on January 25, 2019, 08:06:38 AM
Hey guys,

I'm considering buying some Aluminum AN Fitting Wrench(s).  I'm tossed should I get the complete set of wrenches or the adjustable wrench?

What's the advantages of each?

Do you have any recommendations?  Thanks

Dave

I've found there are multiple sizes of each depending on who's fitting you use. I have at least two different size "6AN" wrenches.

I like using them, but keep that in mind. I've bought from eBay.

Most of the big brands are consistent.

I noticed that the teflon stuff from AN fittings direct was not the standard sizing.  I called and asked about it and got a strange answer about that was the sizing they built.  Apparently the chinese can't figure out how to size things to an industry/specification standard...  :)   Why am I not surprised.

The idea behind the AN fitting is consistency...  guess not anymore!

I have a set of the wrenches and 2 of the crescents for those, "special" pieces...

I bought these a lot of years ago, not sure they are available anymore.  I think they were out of AZ.
