Started the teradown for my cam swap last nigjt and found my carb isolater was melted and warped.
The intake looks ok. The carb may have a little warp to it...not sure yet.
Not too happy about this!!!
I hope this is the ony problem I find.

I'd contact them and see if they would warranty it? Nothing to loose by asking?

Ya I never thought of that. Is the "hole"in the spacer wider than the intake? If so it wouldn't be a concern? I have one also, I'll have to keep an eye on it.
I would grind the edge smooth & wrap it with metal tape heal wont be an issue as the whole itake & carb act as a heat sink to draw heat away , I know they seriously drop temp at the carb

:iagree: AND, the melting point of aluminum is 1221'F and you'd surely know Jas, if that old pink Cuda got THAT hot! I'd take a hammer to it, lightly, and straighten the flange, re-gasket it and slap 'er back on. But then, that's just my :alan2cents:
PS- use the bench as a straight edge or come borrow mine.
