Title: Any coin collectors here?
Post by: GrandpaKevin on January 25, 2019, 05:30:23 PM
I'm clueless about coins but this one from my late father in law's collections has a coin collectors website a bit annoyed.  :pokeeye: :Stirring:

I'll bite, what's the deal ? looks like a typical, although worn, morgan silver dollar to me...(I know nothing about coins but have some of those somewhere, that belonged to my father)

It's the 1971 Hemi 'Cuda convertible of the coin world with plenty of clones.

Good for you...I said I didn't know coins...what do they say yours is worth, if I can ask?

We don't think this is an original one but one made from an original coin from that era, possibly a 1910 as the 3 looks a little suspicious.

It's been in the family for over 50 years but a number of clones were made from original coins back in the 40's and 50's...and many cheap new re pops are out there today.

We're going to get it checked out by an expert but we aren't getting our hopes up whatsoever.
Just like original Hemi convertibles even the well done clones have a decent value.

I'd trade that for a Hemi Rag in an instant!
