For the last few years the pizza party has gotten very small. If we want to continue this tradition we need more people to show up. Otherwise we are just giving away or throwing out a bunch of food at the end.

Your thoughts are requested. Do we keep up this tradition (more people show up and we make this fun again)? Or is the Friday dinner at Dodge City restaurant and Saturday lunch at the tent enough?

Pictures of the last 2 years show how small this has become.

I look forward to the pizza party but agree it has become pretty small the last couple years, hopefully this year more people will show up? The tent was not as full last year as some previous years, maybe see how many are there on Saturday and get a rough head count for pizza? The neighbors might be dissapointed if there are no leftovers though?  :haha:

seek RSVP? seek a small fee to commit people?  Perhaps, cash prizes? Tax incentives?

Have had a lot of fun at the pizza party after the show.  It is the last day for most and really the end of a great weekend.  Hope it continues!  Plus the club picks up the tab!

I think one of the issues is that the location is not helping. It's nowhere near the event to start with. Then of course it is in an area that has gone down hill in a very short time.  Even the hotel it is hosted at has become a "live in" hotel by many and is not visitors as much.  Gotta worry about being robbed.
I also noticed that the Neon crowd was not very present any longer at this location.  Also, not many hot rods at that hotel either.  When I started coming to this event 5 years ago there were multiple hot rods at this hotel's parking lot and last year there were only a very few.
I know that doesn't help with the question of continue or not but it does help explain the low attendance.  distance, safety, hot rods .
Plus, without the big guy and the party guy we lose some great elements as well.

If you guys want to move the pizza party . . Certainly go ahead.  Can order pizza just about anywhere . .  :cooldance:   We picked that parking lot because most of the members were staying in that block or hotels.  Last couple times I went to the show, that hotel was looking pretty rough . .

I`m staying across the street again at the Holiday Inn (because I neglected to try and book another hotel early enough) but I`m ok with having the pizza party elsewhere.

Thanks for your thoughts so far. I'm OK with moving to another location. I was just thinking this has never really recovered after Covid hit. And I wanted to hear others opinions.

I don't think we have another place we can go this year. So lets keep the location the same for now.

At least we can talk about what we may want to do or where we may want to go for 2026 and beyond. :notsure:

I have an Idea talk to you at the show. I stay about 2-3 miles from the show we could have it there and drive the cars there. Just a thought.

2 to 3 miles from the show would be great.

I absolutely love the pizza party on Saturday night. I deeply regret not being able to attend at last year. I love the location. I stay at the hotel right next to that. This is an ideal location for me personally. If it means having or not having the party I'm willing to do it somewhere else. However I love staying at this group of hotels on Beacon hill. I will definitely be there this year and my son will be with me. The GoMangoBoys. We'll be together at last at the pizza party. Thank you to the club for hosting this event every year. Let's please do not let it end.

Well obviously not to many showed up as I only bought 3 pizzas for the gathering.  Certainly not like it used to be in the past.  I remember one year we ordered 12 pizzas and they disappeared so fast, we called the pizza place and told them we had just ordered all those pies but want to reorder them again . . They thought we were kidding . . Nope . . Send them again!

The driver was laughing when he arrives.  Big party!
