hurst shifter

I saw a strange Hurst Shifter supposedly for a 1970 Challenger automatic. What's weird is that it has a second lever, and all I can think of is some kind of line lock. Anybody ever hear of such a device and if so WIW?

I picked up the shifter,

The guy said it was for a manual, is a line lock and has a reverse lockout for racing. I got a bucket of linkage with it and it makes for a big hole in the floor so he removed it from his car.

So is it a museum piece or still worth anything?
