Folks,

I have been working on replacing the re-pop (driver) window in my 70 Challenger.  The car seems to be very original with good documentation.  But I am puzzled by one thing.  I replaced the drivers side window with a date code correct from ECS. I noticed during the install that the window bumps/stops seem very old - I truly think they might be original (see attached pic).

However, when I try to purchase replacements everyone seems to offer a fixed screw mounted bump/stop but mine seems to have a sliding capability for adjustment.  Also, I attached a pic of how it mounts to the door and you will notice in the attached pic that there is a slide notch (tab) where the mounting bracket rides on....

So my question is - which one is correct - the sliding mount or fixed?

any help much appreciated

PS.  trying to adjust the window to make it fit is a big time problem.  But I will get there....found a few old threads on this forum walking me through it.

The one that slides is the proper one . the rubber ends are reproduced

Yup, I agree you have the correct part and the location, there's two of those per door...you're just missing the rubber ends, and as Rob said, they are reproduced
