No, the speaker should go in fine...I've had to trim the posts on the speaker cover to get it to sit flush with the pad...

My bad, meant to about speaker cover not speaker, added photo this time. Not putting the speaker in . Have got 3 covers and 2 black ones are bowed at the front, think I will spray green on and use it. I have placed 3 tabs where I think I have to cut so cover will sit down a little bit and so I can get screw in from back.
