I just installed the six way driver bucket seat in my 1970 Challenger R/T SE. The driver seat at its lowest position sits about 1 inch higher than the passenger seat?  Not much head clearance. Is this normal?  Thanks

Normal with a 6 way seat?  Not much head room, and yes, the drivers seat will sit higher than the passenger seat.  If my AAR wasn't coded for a 6 way, I would have been more than happy to have left it out.

YUP....I was just restoring the last one this morning....3 out of 5 of the 70 Challengers I'm now finishing up, had the 6-way option....terrible in my opinion....You sit too high and I find none of the other positions very comfortable  :alan2cents:

Put one in my 70 Challenger and ended up having to take it back out for that exact reason.

Just to confirm to see if mine is functioning properly. I can lower the front or the rear of the seat bottom. Problem is I cannot lower the front and rear at the same time. Is this correct?

I'm 6'3" and never even noticed the height difference with the 6 way seat in my car.
Of course, it is a convertible.  :Thud:

Ha, ha: I thought I was the only one. I am 6' and installed one in my R/T around 1983. I quickly took it out and always wondered why people were so enamored with that option.
