door seal question

how important is this seal? I don't have any and I can't seem to find any reproduction being sold.

Probably not that important. I've done about a dozen e bodies and have only seen that on one of them.

My 1970 has these seals. They look different than the picture you posted.

@Rich G. okay great. I'm going to run mine without them. I knew I wouldn't be the only one missing them. @headejm, the seal I'm referencing is actually on the inside of the door where the door rod is attached to. the picture you're demonstrating is on the outside of door.
