frozen door latch

The passenger door latch is stuck closed on my 71 Challenger. The door panel is off, but the door wont open. It seems that is locked, but it is unlocked. I have already bought new latches, as the driver latch has been forced open with a long lever, jusdging by the scraped on the door jamb. AM afraid to force the stuck one, but dont want to open the door with a long lever.
Any suggestions? Thank you

I assume you have lubed it with some kind of penetrant ?
Do you have 2 people , one that can lift & pull on the door while the other works the lever on the mechanism ?

Yes. Wd40....several application. Tried everything save for brute force. Any suggestions?
