Ok, well thanks for all the help thus far. This is all new to my rookie eyes, I have never seen this stuff before so I very much appreciate it.

Any success getting this sorted out ?

Ironically I had a similar issue  while at the first car show of the season. My son rolled down the passenger window and it wouldn't roll back up. I remembered reading this post a couple days ago. always good to read and learn!
So when I got home and pulled off the door panel and while it was hard to see I figured out that a blue/teal coloured plastic  part seemed to be preventing the window from going up. I poked at it with a long screwdriver and it seems to be working again? For now..... ? I assume it's only temporary
I guess I'll need to order this from Roseville? Looks like the reproduction parts are no longer teal coloured but black? Or is that just the picture? I'll have to check my parts bins as I seem to remember ordering this like 10 years ago.

I think you have it covered Brad, That stuff is old and breaks eventually, or the screws won't stay tight.
