Our mirror is not in very good shape.  What is the best option to either refurbish it or replace it?  The mirror glass has pits from where the previous owner sandblasted the car.

I've used a few reproductions now, I think they're nice

I've restored the base and stem with a good sanding and paint it with silver calliper paint. The black could be repainted too. I don't think there's much you can do about the glass.

mine was all rusted out and the glass is broke. it seems like it should be simple to restore the glass but I haven't found any places that seem to do it. There is a cougar channel on youtube and they have a place that restores cougar mirrors. I ended up finding one that was acceptable for a cheap price. There has to be someone doing it. I've thought about cutting some mirrors myself and seeing what I could do, but I got so many projects going on.
