Based on the pictures I took before dismantling my seats, this metal piece is supposed to be looped through the pigtail hanging from the seat frame to take up slack on the release cable.  If I do that now, the seat track on the transmission side of the seat doesn't latch.   Would this metal piece normally be hog ringed to the pigtail, are the yellow springs too weak, or is it something else?

I'm also curious if anyone knows why the release cables are different lengths when comparing driver and passenger side.  Or do I have the wrong cable on one side?

I am trying to remember how that connects so it works correctly , you could build a longer loop to hold it at the front

@Dakota  Do a search on here for this topic. It's been discussed on here before. Here is a bottom photo of each seat. I hope they help you.

:headbang:   The latch on the other track wasn't engaged.  Once it was locked in, the other side locked too.   I hate being an idiot.

Thanks guys.
