Silver temperature control knob

 I am in the process of converting my car from a non Rallye dash to a rallye Dash . How do you get the little silver part off of the temperature control knob without destroying it so I can put the correct control panel on ?

You don't.

You remove the entire lever out the front, by first removing the spring washer and the pivot pin from the center of the heater control. Then pull each lever out the front. :alan2cents:

While I 100% agree with what Alan stated above . . . they can be removed.  It's a real pain but it can be done.  Inside the actual little knob is a "U" shaped retaining spring that keeps the knob locked into a hole on the end of the adjustment lever but again . . . a huge pain to get off.
