I need a source for trim screws,8 screws short putting my dash of my 1970 Challenger back together.Don't like the look with screws from the hardware store, want that look like what it came with from 1970.Going for the factory look although it has a 2014 5.7 hemi under the hood and modern day Magnum Force suspension.A nephew of mine lost these screws during the tear down of the car and asked him where he put them, said in the organizer and were not. Then he said in one socket drawer of my tool box and realized I threw them out by accident one day

Any junkyards around with old cars in them?  Nothing really special about most interior screws.  You can probably pull off what you need from a wreck.  While I've used R/T Specialties in the past, these small screws will nickel and dime you to death especially when you have to pay shipping.  The shipping will be more then the screws.

When I restored my orange and green cars Home Depot carried tons of nice stainless phillips head screws. I don't know if they still do. It sure saved time when I could just nip in there anytime I needed a few.

I might have some I can send if you still need them. Post. a pic of one and I will dig through my stuff. I bought a lot of screws but i tried to use the originals as much as I could so I have lots of screws left over from here and there.

The don't give them away much/any cheaper than the other sources, but it's nice to be able to get something right away and avoid shipping charges.  I got four bags of various five count trim fasteners and plastic rivets at NAPA two weeks ago that cost $26 out the door.  But, the job is done.
