Steering wheel 'dish'

Looking at aftermarket steering wheels. Some say things like 2.5"deep dish.
So If I lay the stock wheel on it's face on a table, and measure from the table surface to the hub mounting surface of the wheel, is that the amount of 'dish' the wheel has?

I believe you are correct...
Mines like zero dish

Thanks Bullitt. Is your wheel stock? My stock '73 wheel measures about 2"?
