Bought the 70-72 door glass roller kit...  Only one part is as original built.   Any advice on direction from here? Do these repop parts actually fit and I'm just not seeing it?  The black guides are the only parts identical to OEM, the rest are not quite as accurate in a way to make me confortable.

My car 71 Challenger Deputy vinyl top car.

Kind of the same boat here; a lot of the parts in the kit I bought ('72) don't match what is on the car.  I bought it ahead of time and fortunately the original stuff looks pretty good anyway.  Still way too late to return it.

Yep frustrating.  Technically all I absolutely need is ONE of the sheet metal washers as shown, and I can re use everything that's original.

Hate to tell you, but I've found the "black guides" don't work worth a shit either... :alan2cents:

I did notice that they are the only part of the entire kit that matches the original white guides perfectly.

Once you get them mounted, try sliding them up and down in the channel, I found them to be very tight :alan2cents:

I tried using those new nylon (up-stop?) pins and could barely get the phillips head screws to start into them let alone all the way through.  Reused the old pins.

Well, this is all different colors of depressing lol

Interesting, I don't think any of my original ('72) square regulator guides have those clips over the top of them

This is a 71 Deputy, quarter glass regulator delete bottom dollar rarity, but that shouldn't change the internals of the doors.

We are lucky to have part to complain about. Replacement parts for internals are not usually exact repros as nobody sees them and parts are modified over the many years that a mechanism may be used. Don't worry about looking exactly like the 50 year old parts. In this case function is what matters. If you have to have  oe parts, put an add out for original parts. There are members that part out cars and have good, used parts.

Thank you for that in face, and it makes total sense. And unfortunately for this clip, only the black gate pieces are made identical to the ones on my car. The rest of them are just off and in a crappy way. Lol I've been working with three pops for many years now and these are the most disappointing I've come across
