Window up guides location

Should the glass be fairly close to the up guides?  Maybe if someone had a picture or could describe how close to put them as right now the glass is  hardly touching them.

The glass rolls up just fine without them.  Thanks

You want them closer then that....They should touch the glass slightly in my opinion.
