IRON MAN

MSN just announced the 426 Hellephant sold out in a mere 48 hours after pre-orders opened up on "Hemi Day" (4/26). Initial run of 100 units, another run scheduled next year.

Wow !!
Not a lot of chance to get one !!

It does not make sense to put a cap on the production number. They should keep the order opened and when it reaches certain volume then start production. Why make people wait till next year? jack up the price?

I heard something about a lack of builder to create these monsters

They are being hand built, so limited on the number possible in a given time period. Dave can maybe add more.

Shoooter

How much did they sell for?

Jay Bee

I read on USAToday.com the MSRP was $29,995.00 plus and engine kit for $2,265.00. If that was the "actual" price I don't know.

There's a job for you Neil. Open an engine assembly shop in Panama.

Sounds like a great plan except for governments & shipping

RUNCHARGER

I know it sounds crazy but I think that is a good deal for 1000 reliable HP.

I am not so sure it is a "good deal"
but 1000 hp reliable & drivable with a warranty is pretty fair .
You could do it adding a lot of similar tech to an older motor & beat the price I believe . :alan2cents:

I have a pretty good idea on what I have spent so far on my motor. Supercharged 426 3rd gen.  I will be below 32,000 usd but no warranty.  And a bit heavier. As for the power and reliability, I guess time will tell.
