This is a heater delete car which looks like it has all the parts for it.

Originally car was white with a 318 automatic barracuda, fender/hood/rear valence were changed before I got the car, currently has a 71 'Cuda 340 original 85k miles, 727, 8-3/4.   Still working on a '67 426 Hemi engine with dual EFI and hydraulic roller. 4 speed and 4.10 Dana. Nothing special with this car, just a nice driver to have fun with!

Also have an original 71' Barracuda in green ...with rust with 318 auto and heater delete. This is a project that is just sitting, still figuring out if I should repair the rust or just drive it as is. Picked up these two cars within the last 2 years. Started with the engine first then both came along.

Nice. What did you do for your 426 power steering? Did you use the original Federal pump? I can't tell from the picture.

Yes, it is a federal pump. That was a project in itself. I don't know much about the Mopar stuff and even what I was supposed be be looking for and what it even looks like, or that there was a difference to be fun with. Thanks to forums like e-bodies helped with this. So I ended up with a reman pump and body, repro brackets that needed modifying, original cap off eBay, hoses still to be determined since I am going with a Borgeson box. I see hose that fit for the Saginaw, but none for the Borgeson to Federal. So far I just got black -AN fittings and black PTFE hoses.

I see hose hits for the Saginaw, but none for the Borgeson to Federal. So far I just got black -AN fittings and black PRFE hoses.

I went with an original Federal pump for my car and soon found out that the hoses were not available. I had to modify a hode to make it fit. Sounds like you wont run into that exact issue though since you're using a different box.

Not one, but two '71's ... and in Hawaii no less!! Lucky guy!!

I lived in Mililani for years and I think I saw one or two clapped out E-bodies the whole time I lived there!! Looks like you have more garage space than a lot of the homes do. Where you stay Minagenral??
Cheers!

Tis' better to have owned classic Mopars and lost than to have never owned at all (apologies to Alfred Lord Tennyson)

Thank you, I never planned on two but since they are so few and far between here when the opportunity came up, why not it's a '71 and fairly original. I am in Honolulu, Oahu and the cars are at a work garage.

About 20 years ago a friend of mine bought a red on red 70, RT, 440 Challenger that was in Seattle, but was formerly in Hawaii and also had a heater delete.

Also, my cousin was stationed in Hawaii for the Marines in the late 70s and early 80s, and he had a 70 SE R/T 383 challenger. I remember seeing pictures of it parked on the beach.
