Matt13

Hello group! I've been on here for a few months, so I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Matt, located in Clayton Ca. We moved here about 6 years ago from Chicago for my wife's job. I miss Chicago. Aside from some military time, it's where I've spent most of my money, I mean life, on classic cars. (probably 40+). I've owned 6 Mopars, 1968 Plymouth Fury 383, a white 1970 Cuda 440, a 1971 Plum Crazy Cuda 440, a 1971 Plymouth Valiant straight 6 that I could not kill, a Plymouth Volare, and my most recent, a 1973 Barracuda. Thanks for all the advice and help so far! I'll try to find pics of the 1971 Cuda. It was, by far, my favorite ride. Never, ever should have sold it.

Me too. My wife loves it here; I hate it. Midwestern values and California don't mix well! Lol. Looks like I'm here for at least the next 10 years though, so gotta make the best of it. Just registering the car here took 4 trips to the Ca.DMV!

It took me all of ten minutes to register my '70 'Cuda in Utah for the first time since 1983 and that included getting approval to use the original Vintage plates from back in 1983.  Big difference in attitudes with DMV personnel vs Calif.  Here, they actually act like they want to help you and don't hate their jobs.  :o
