70Barracuda

I picked up my car in 1982 for $550.  Back when numbers matching didn't matter.  So it has been cut up and pounded on.  Mostly it has lived in a garage.  It has a nice twenty year old paint job of a not correct color.  It's been a hot rod and will stay one.  Now I am thinking about getting it closer to looking factory in the engine bay as a start.
I am interested in a book or other resources to help me figure out the things I need to start the process.    It's a 383 4 speed Barracuda.  Manual steering & brakes.  I put in a B body Dana and mini tubed it many years ago.

Any help in that direction will be much appreciated.

Thank you
Tim

Welcome @70Barracuda   Thanks for joining us.    :slapme5:  Good looking Barracuda man.  I'm right over the water in Vancouver, WA.  You are more then welcome to stop by and look at a 1970 383 stock restored E-Body if you need some ideas on getting the stock factory look in the engine bay.

Feel free to ask any specific questions you have and you'll find that there's a lot of very helpful people on here.

Enjoy the rare sun break we're having today.   :burnout:

It has never been a deal for me so now I am getting in the other side of the pool.  I will take you up on that offer sometime soon.  Thank you.

I know this isn't the best picture in the world,(it is 47 yearsold) but here is a picture of my original 1970 383 Cuda's engine compartment.   My car had power brakes, but manual steering and A/C.  Often if you cruise ebay for 70 cudas for sale, you can find some pictures of an original 383 Cuda that will show a good picture of the engine compartment.  Also, google "pictures of 1970 383 Cuda engine compartments) and you may find a few pics. Good luck. Oh, and welcome to the site from Utah!  :welcome:

Is your car a BH coded 4 speed?  What was the original color?
