Just wanted to say hello and look forward to plowing through pages of info and restos.  I have a 1973 Dodge Challenger Rallye, JA5 paint.  Needs total restoration, but I am getting it back on the road for the first time in 14 years.  I bought the car in the summer of 1993 after I had gotten out of the Navy.  It had been repainted by the previous owner who had quarters put on it and years later the crappy body work is starting to show.  I had lost my job and house and had to part with her and had given her to a family member who was going to restore her.  That never happened, the car was being used as storage shelf!  I was furious!!
Fast forward to 2008, married a great woman, had the itch for another Mopar.  Found a 67 Dart cheap and started to to get it in order.  My awesome wife suggested I call the family member I had given the car to and see if I could get my old baby back, before I dumped any more money into the Dart.  So after a phone call in the spring of 2016, I'd gotten the car back, half torn apart but in rolling condition.  Spent the better part of last year getting her running, new rad, etc etc.  Just pulled the trigger on Mopar cop wheels for now and next is tires.  I am hoping to have her back on the road sometime this year.

Cool story, many here have sold cars and wished they could have them back, me included, but seldom does a reunion happen. Welcome aboard to the newest best site for E-Bodies.  :unitedstates:

What a great story, glad of your decision to join up here on this forum. A big WELCOME to you from SoCal. Good choice on the Challenger, you'll be happier with it. Thank also for your service to your country, I also spent time (4 years) in the Navy (1968-1972). When I got back from overseas I dealership purchased my '70 Dodge Challenger in 1973, as a used car trade-in, for $1,100. To use as a daily driver. I still own the Challenger, it's become part of the family now. Again a big Mopar welcome.        Thanks,   Al
