Long Story: Many of you know me from other forums.  Moparts or CC would be the two sites most people have met me on.  Both sites have some advantages and disadvantages.  Moparts is a vast sea of information covering many years and several body styles.  It can be intimidating for newbies.  The knowledge of the members on Moparts is undeniable, but it's kinda like an old Scotch whiskey.  Most people either love it or hate it.  CC is an extremely welcoming group of wonderful people.  The members are just as smart and always super friendly.  The disadvantage is it's framework.  It's hard to post photos, no member Gallery, no way to post Videos easily, no way to "like" members posts, and not much else on the site besides the forum.  But a great group of people for sure.  My thought has always been to purchase CC and make it easier to post photos plus add some tech stuff to the main website.  I've been trying to purchase CC for many years, but last summer I realized I needed to find a different way I could help.  That's how E-Bodies.org came about.

E-Bodies.org #1 goal is to provide a place for people to share their passion and exchange ideas about E-Bodies.  Very similar to other Forums, right?  But there's one main difference.  I have no intentions of making a profit with this.  I do it because I love E-Bodies and the people who own them.  Some of the nicest people you will ever want to meet own E-Bodies.

So I knew early on that I had to figure out a way to make it so the members benefited from the forum.  Having already started building the website, it wasn't until I was driving back from Fall Fling in Vans Nuys, CA in Oct 2016 that I got the idea how to make it all work.  It happened during that long drive on I-5 between LA and SF.  The thought was to have a Prize Shop so active members could be rewarded for their forum activity.  To fill the Prize Shop sponsors either donate items or items would be purchased with sponsor's funds.  Members then earn credit for Forum activity.  No software program existed that could do what I wanted to so I found a very talented programmer to write the code from scratch.  While this was all happening the website designer was finishing up the site to go along with the Forum.  There's still a lot of work going on behind the scenes and we are being proactive in providing more benefits for members.

We're all part of one big E-Body family and hope everyone can see what my intentions are here.  I have had a lot of wonderful experiences on Moparts and CC and will continue to check in.  And I hope that you do to.  But please bookmark us and check in regularly with the E-Bodies.org Forum.  If you have any questions, please feel free to message me on here or you can call me on my cell 360-772-5555.  I'm in the Pacific Time Zone.

Short Story: E-Bodies.org  is:

     - Super easy to Post Photos of any size

     - Simple and Easy to navigate

     - Sponsors income goes to the Members (see the Prize Shop in the Menu)

     - Easy to give feedback to members you do deals with

     - Easy to "Mention" members in threads

     - Members Photo Gallery

A funny side note, we started out as E-Bodies.com.  After a few months of designing the testing started.  My designer called me from the local mall and said she could not get on to the website using the WiFi.  At the time I was sitting at the office of the company that is design the build sheet decoder and asked them to try to view the site from their computer.  BLOCKED by a firewall!   :steamingmad:  After a little research we found out that E-Bodies.com was used as a porn site about 10 years ago and still was being blocked by most servers.  :pullinghair:  We started over and designed a new logo and modified the site.     That's when we became E-Bodies.org.  I think it fits us better anyway.   :)  If you type in E-Bodies.com you will either be blocked or forwarded to the .org site.

This sties has a great base and I'm sure it will grow very fast with the knowledge the people have on here. Good to see you step up and fill the void that was missing on the other sites.

Cool story bro!
This site looks first class and I see this in your work and shop, clean, organized and your willingness to share info just awesome! What a great start here! Best to you.

a true Thank You from me for sure. your points are very valid and I firmly believe it is time for a more 'modern and up to date' site. the 'Like' feature is HUGE to me, it really helps differentiate good info from bad - if I see something that has 10 likes, I should pay attention. I also REALLY like the video section, this is something that has been sorely missing from any forum sites and the only real goto is YouTube, but this makes it much more organized, professional and a solid go-to site for anyone restoring an e-body (especially us noobs with very little experience and trying to do it on our own). I think this site has a huge potential to be THE go-to site for e-bodies and restoration how-to.

big Kudos to you Sir!  :perfect10:
Growing older is mandatory...growing up is optional.

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
