Can you confirm the bores are round and geometry good, and free of blemish?  I'm looking for a F440 block I can take to .030 if any more work is needed to true up the cylinders.  Also, if it's not too much trouble, an image of the numbers stamped on the oil pan rail.  Thank you, in advance.

the machine shop said the bores were good at .020, so theres no reason .030 wouldnt be ok.

Thank you for taking the time to post these images.  They look great.  Let me do some research on those numbers.  I was anticipating the number from the location circled in the image, and expecting something like PT440P30902643.  Let me figure it out.

i believe those #s you posted were used on up through 1968 big blocks

:iagree:  HEMI still used it for 1969-'71 but 383/440 stopped in '68

Remind me which publication that's in?  I didn't see it in my plymouth service manual.
