1971 Thermoquad 4972S for 340 stick

Offered is an original 4972S Thermoquad for all '71 340 manual trans applications.

Needs restoration, there appears to be a repair to the base, but the mixture screw is unaffected and moves in and out freely. 

Date code of 2990 - 299th day of 1970 - October 26, 1970 so it is correct for a wide range of build dates.

Hello,

I do help people find carburetors when I can however, that one appears to have been welded where the mixture screw is (someone likely broke off a mixture screw and carved it open to repair/replace it). If that's the case I could not help in moving that carb, basically because while it might work fine, modifications like that are to unpredictable and I could not warrant it should I end up with the job of restoring it.

Is the 4972 carb still for sale? I need one for parts for my rebuild.
