Space saver tire on Ford rim.  The verbage on this tire is the same as one I found for my 71 Cuda that has a wheel date November 1970.  It is a pre-DOT dated tire. From what I know the tire should be correct for the 71 model year and possibly starting mid 1970.  I know some of the first space savers in 70 e-bodies were 7.75 only.  Also there may have been some different layer construction with the first f78/7.75 tires, I'm not 100% sure as my research was to figure out what was correct for my 71.

@cudaize ***** you might find a better market   :bigmoney:  in the Boss 302 & Boss 429 Mustang crowd   :takealook:  what's the date code stamped by the FoMoCo oval?

often missing in those $50K+ cars as well

Thank you for the suggestion.  Here is a picture of the date code.  Looks to be either a 6 or 9, A, and 2.  By the Ford logo there is just an "M"  presumably for Motor Wheel.

Still have this is someone wants a correct tire and has a rim to put it on.
