steering coulmn from 1974 cuda

I have a steering column from my 1974 cuda, It was at the shop and they told me it needs a complete rebuild, I bought an aftermarket column and they removed the one that was in there, it looks like they just cut the one end off so Im not even sure if it can be rebuilt?? maybe someone can use it for parts. Id like 100.00 for it.
