Is this an 11/24/69 cast?
And is that an AM shift below the cast date?

What month of AAR would this have come in?  Something like march of 70?

BS23JOB303683

What is the meaning of the 1577130 on the casting number?

3577130 casting number for 340 T/A block

2780930 casting number for 340 block

& BS23J0B303683 would've been SCHEDULED 4/13/70

this appears to show
11*24*69 cast date
"N"ight shift (2nd)
around 4PM

AFAIK there was a batch(es) of T/A blocks cast in November '69 that were used throughout production (not in a "first cast/first used" orderly manner)

Kinda a stretch to ask 4300 bucks and you have to sleeve it to begin with.

Heck you need to source heads as well. This may sit awhile.

I'd be interested in it for my car if it was closer and about half the asking price :alan2cents:

thanks Cudahunter...much appreciated.

Heads aren't too hard to find but the rockers and shafts are the tricky parts to track down. 2500 doesn't sound horrible dependant on condition
