I am looking for a correct 727 automatic trans for my 70 R/T--383 HP-not sure what the correct numbers are. Could someone supply me with the numbers I am looking for. Car was built 11-20.
Thanks

The attached document should help.  I believe you need PK3410668L for a 70 383 4bbl.  Also, this is the link to the 4 digit 10,000 day date code calendar https://maxwedge.com/articles/10k.php.  If your car was built November 20, 1969 then you need a tranny build date <3037.  Check out Ebay item#303099826297 (not mine).  It's a 668 core dated 2916.  Price is a bit high for a core.  668 383 HP trannies are far less rare than the 440 & 426 HP part numbers.  Hope this helps.

I was at a swap meet this morning in Waukesha, WI where it was a whopping 34 degrees out.  There was a vendor who had a PK3410668L 727 core for sale.  Date was 2973 (Sept 17, 1969).  It did have a 1/2" chip out of the bottom of the bell at the 6 o'clock position.  Chip wouldn't affect function.  But it wasn't perfect.  He was asking $300 for it.  My sense is that he'd take less due to the chip.  PM me if interested and I'll send you his contact info.  Unfortunately, my camera on my phone stopped working so I couldn't take any pics for you.
