2944390 Rallye 15x7 rim

Looking for a 2944390 rallye 15x7 rim. Only problem is I'm looking for a certain date code of 8-11. Or at least close to that day because I know it's a lot to ask for a certain day but my 3 other rims are that date. Only need 1

Maybe you will get lucky on the forum.  Its a lot to find a 390 rim now days IMO, much less match a date you have.

actually they are all M1 - it's the digit under the M1 that indicates year of production (M1 = Motor Wheel Corp. plant #1 Lansing, MI)

M1/9 for 1969 production
M1/0 for 1970 production
M1/1 for 1971 production

Ok who all has had Rick re stamp a 390 wheel. How close does it match the original stamping.

If you find a 390 wheel you can have Resto Rick stamp the wheel with the date you want. Probably be easier then finding the correct date j

As with faking anything, there is usually always a way to tell. Those early dated 8/11/69 rims have NO part number stamped into them. If you are going to make a good fake, you will need to find another 15x7.0 rallye wheel that also has NO part number on it.

Out of curiosity, if you have a car with 11-69 door sticker what date would you expect on rims?  did they pull from stock and stamp with same when paired with vehicle ?  or pull from older already stamped stock.

They didn't date rims to match the car, they dated rims as they were manufactured likely for traceability in case there was a problem
