If memory serves . . . second picture has the two brackets (upper left hand corner of the picture) which are not for the headlight mounting but rather for attaching the two outside lower corners of the grill?  I believe that the first picture is all that is needed for the headlight mounting less the actual headlight buckets, retaining rings and adjustment hardware.

Yes you are correct about the outer grill mounting brackets in Dave's second picture...often missing too :alan2cents:

I need all of it I guess. I didn't know about all the small brackets too.I have nothing but fenders.

anlauto

Do you have 1971 fenders, because the mounting of these will not work on any other year fender without some modifications :alan2cents:

Crusty

Yes. One used 71 Cuda fender with gills and other AMD for 71 Cuda

Crusty

Used fender has been stripped clean of any brackets though. So I want sure what all I needed.

Claudia

Each headlight mounting bracket uses one short "L" shaped bracket and one long "L" shaped bracket which are used to attach it to the fender.  In the pictures posted above, second picture has the same four "L" shaped brackets as the first picture however, you will need the two grill mounting brackets that I mentioned earlier if you do not have them.

I have included some pictures of what you should need:

#1) Headlight Mounting Brackets (six pieces in total, enough for one car)
#2) Headlight Mounting Pods (four pieces in total, enough for one car)
#3) Headlight Retainer Rings (four pieces in total, enough for one car)
#4) Headlight Adjuster Hardware Kit (includes adjusters, springs and screws, enough for one car - kit is used to attached the pods to the brackets)
#5) Shows the headlight brackets and headlight pods mounted on the car.
#6) Shows the headlight retainer rings installed.
#7 - #10) Shows the mounting places of the lower grill mounting tabs that were discussed earlier.

Hope this information helps!

No problem.

Crusty

Thanks Dave! I need all the brackets. Headlight buckets and rings I am going to try and find at swap meets or at least used it possible.
