Is it true that the face plate is the only difference on an e-body 8 track and some of the c-body 8 tracks?  I see some of those C-Body 8 tracks come up for sale pretty cheap.

The faceplate is different and also the front portion of the body.

Another difference is the location of the support bracket.

C-body are different in the way they mount, could you make it work?  Sure, if you really wanted too.
