Question please Are there any different brackets from factory Crome front bummer bar and a Elastomeric rubber bar. So are they the same brackets ? Just trying to learn as much as possible cheers

I'm pretty sure they are different but I am hoping someone more knowledgeable on here ( @anlauto ) can shed some light on this....

IN MY OPINION.....I think the early cars did indeed have different brackets with different part numbers, I'm not sure if it was both 70-71 Cudas and the 71 Challengers or not. I don't know.

If the question is whether or not you can install rubber bumpers using your existing chrome bumper brackets, then the answer is YES....they will bolt up with no issues....

Maybe Terry has some input on the different brackets ? @mccannix

There is a different number in the books for front rubber bumper brackets verses chrome bumper brackets.
I know the rubber bumper bracket number exists because I have seen a set in person and I think a member here had a rubber bumper set once.
However as Alan stated rubber bumper will bolt on using regular chrome front bumper brackets with ease.
Same goes for Challenger

Supposedly the rubber bumper brackets had elongated slots for more adjustment... :alan2cents:

That seems locical. I have a 70 front original elastomeric but it needs work on the mounting studs. One broke off and was repaired by a hack. I decided to go with chrome for the time being.
