I am looking at a 1970 Challenger for my friend, the car has the J41 pedal kit installed. If original should J41 be on the tag or was it only on the broadcast sheet ?? Thanks

I wonder if it was a hit & miss deal? Maybe @6bblgt can help?

Wow, July 30 SPD, very late, maybe the J45 appears from a certain date, or it has to do with the fact it's an SE?
I'll let @6bblgt answer that one...

It was not on the tag.
Not correct.

anyway, YES - J41 very late in the '70 model year at Hamtramck

@6bblgt would 7/30 have been the last day for 1970 production?

70' FE5 Challenger T/A
71' GY3 Demon 340

the "build out" - end of year Challengers were SCHEDULED THURSDAY 7/23 & THURSDAY 7/30 - Barracudas FRIDAY 7/24 & THURSDAY 7/30

I don't know what the actual last day of production was, but the blue/SE/N94 730 car was built a day after my 702 "SCHEDULED" 383 N94 R/T

both are among the last 2,000 assembly line #1 cars for 1970

Around what date?
