I was looking at the vin body stamps on the cowl and radiator support and was wondering what the two prefix letters or numbers mean that are before the six vin numbers. are they general numbers for cuda or challengers? My 71 cuda they are on the vertical part of the radiator support not on the top. can they be on both?

Prefix is plant/year.....  They are transposed from the location in the VIN which is year/plant
