Original owner?

 I'm wondering how guys are going about finding the original owners of their cars?
I'm in Canada and my 73 challenger was sold in Canada, so perhaps the rules etc are different up here, than they are down in the US?

Any suggestions on how to find my cars original owner would be appreciated!

It's pretty tough. The rarer the car is the more chance you have of finding them. Car shows are about the best bet, if it's a local car sooner or later you will talk to someone who remembers it.

When I bought my T/A in 1985 I gave my VIN to a relative that was in LE, she ran it through their database and listed every registered owner from 1970 to 1985. They changed the rules years later stating you need probable cause to look it up.
If you know someone in LE you can ask and see what they say but I don't think you will get very far. 
Some guys run ads on kijiji or facebook looking for previous owners too.
