I did some searches and found this info.
Shows Warranty Tag Model numbers for specific engines.
Note the 340+6 warranty engine model for the tag is 0330.

Good to know that 0330 is for 340-6 and not 0302 which is hemi.
I still have the 0296 tag they show in that article from a 273 block.
I also have paper tags that were attached to that 273, including the short block part number 2951513, move order tag, and OK inspected tag, all attached with wire.
Interesting tidbit, Chrysler didn't refer to it a rivet that mounted the tag but rather a 'bard'.
There was also a red tag and a smaller silver tag on some short blocks not mentioned in the article but I'm sure it will be now in the next release.

Sorry it took so long to reply. I will ask if he has any other pictures on the engine. So the story as I remember it was he bought a challenger T/A back in the late 70's go mango somewhere in upstate NY not being aware of numbers matching stuff back then he pulled that engine from that car after the ny rust worm attacked it. The good news was it went into another T/A. I will see if I can have him chime in he is a long time mopar guy full of T/A history.

Thanks @mccannix for that documentation.  I'm surprised how difficult it is to find this stuff. I've read many pages now over on moparts and a few others and the best info I've seen is your post. Actual documentation of a 273.

No problem sharing what I have learned as many on here have offered up information as well on a variety of subjects.
I was fortunate to find no less than 8 service blocks from a Chrysler Depot rusting away in a couple old school buses
many years back.
The tags and paper material was of great interest to me....the short blocks not so much in their condition.

I wasn't belittling anyone elses information. Sorry if it appeared that way.
I appreciate all the information.
Just can't find many pictures anywhere on the net for those t/a warranty tags.

Very interesting that the blocks have a second tag and two paper tags.
I see the one paper tag is tied with some tie wire to a motor mount hole.
Where was the other paper tag attached?

The short block, move, and OK tags were wired to distributor opening area.
Nice clean boss with no stamped number
