On the door sticker there is a number at the bottom to the left of where it says Made In USA. Mine is 091309. What does that mean?

Look to see if it says MDH above or along side of the number.  If it's the MDH code as I suspect, that stands for Month, Day, Hour.  That code started in late 72.  That is when the car was at the end of the production line.   091309 would indicate September 13th 1973 at the 9th hour.  Compare that number to the SPD on the fender tag.  That will tell you if they build your car earlier or later then they originally scheduled it for.

My SPD is 927.(Sept 27, 72) but the MDH code says it was built on October 12th if I remember correctly.

Thanks Darren. It does say MDH ahead of the number. I have no fender tag so I don't know the SPD. As a point of interest, information in the glove box shows that the original owner took possession one month later on Oct 13, 73. Also interesting is that Oct 13,73 was my 16th birthday. Karma!
