I guess  the value would vary a bit depending what parts are in it such as 727or 904 & 7 1/4 diff or 8 /3/4 . Does it still run / drive or is it dead
Are most of the detail parts there still , trim etc or is it missing a lot of hard to get / expensive pieces ?

Sounds like I good-car to get. I would make sure it is a complete car with nothing missing because some parts are hard if not impossible to get. Value still depends on condition such as frame and body panels, int., dashpad, etc. Some of these parts are pretty expensive and it adds up quick! I look at it like this, what is it worth completely restored and what will it cost to get it there. The difference is what it's worth but it never seems to work out that way!

$7-10k if no rust as you described and needs all new drivetrain.

It's definitely dead in the water and would have to get towed. Everything is there, not a single part missing.

Rust is the big key on cars like this.  A little rust is okay, but more then a little and the project will cost way more then what it is worth.  It's hard to put a price on it without seeing it, but I would say a fair price would be $6k to $8k if it's clean.
