I have some 6 Pack carburetors I am thinking about selling, trying to gauge the value. I was told they were rebuilt, but have been sitting for who knows how long. I have 2 outboard carburetors that are part number 4790 (340 outboard) and 1 center carburetor that is part number 4374 (1970 440, 4 speed N95 CA emissions). I thought they were a 340 set, but turns out the center is different. My guess is they would be worth more separate then as a set?

Outboards around $300 each and center around $400 :alan2cents: dates play a part too...

Thanks! How can I determine the dates?

Post some photos and we'll help.  The dates are normally a 4 digit number like 3019 = 301st day of 1969.

Also, 4790 is a 340 1970 Rear Carb (you need the front 4789 Front), but sometimes they put 2 of the same on a car from the factory.  The Center 4374 is a 440 for 1970.  :alan2cents:

Thanks Cody. I will try and get some pictures. Where can I find the date code?

date & LIST numbers are stamped on the body (outboard carbs) & on the air horn (center carbs)

there may be additional numbers stamped on aftermarket & over-the-counter replacement carbs

Thanks! I'll see what they say.

Still working on pictures, but I got the dates off the carburetors. The outboards also have what appears to be an additional part number of 3577185. One of the outboards has a date code of 2582 and the other has a date code of 1201. The center carburetor has a date code of 2839.
