The shifter appears to be an old Vertical Gate missing a couple of knobs. It was made to prevent going back into 1st when going for the 2-3 shift.

Yep, I believe you're right.  If I remember correctly it had plastic knobs when I bought it, which of course stripped out right away. I think, they used to come with aluminum knobs originally.  I just don't know what to ask for it.  Ebay prices are allover the map (as usual).  Thanks, for your input.
