I have a pair of speakers from a 3 speaker dash, 71 Challenger. They need to be rebuilt but, but have a good frame and wires etc. I was wondering what I should be asking for a price...  Ebay has a pair for $300.00 but I feel that is way to much cha ching. Look them over and give me an "Honest" price range.
Thanks in advance.

I've thrown a dozen sets in the trash.... Still have a couple sets... I wouldn't give a buck..... :alan2cents:

When using the factory harnesses it's nice to have those speakers re-coned so it's an easy factory connection.  If I was looking for a set to use I wouldn't mind paying $20 bucks or so if I was going that route.  I'm sure someone will be able to use them.

Does Jackson Speaker Service rebuild those? If so, it might be worthwhile to send them out to be rebuilt BEFORE you try selling them. You might make more money on a freshly restored pair then the way they sit right now.

I think Burdar and Cody are both correct.

I've re-coned speakers and it's not very expensive.  Might be worth it if you have some time on your hand and want to get top dollar.  Someone doing a restoration and doesn't want to cut a factory harness would most likely pay good money for a nice set of re-coned factory speakers.

Thank you to all of you for your responses, I'll look into Jackson Speaker Service prior to attempting to sell.

When I was asking for new speakers @Cuda Cody suggested I have them rebuilt, hmm never thought about that so I did, and it cost me about 135$ for all three.

That doesn't sound so bad. Did they blast the frames and paint them?
