I bought my AAR in 76 and the guy kept the rally wheels for his cuda. The SPD on the fender tag is 409 and the door sticker is 4 of 1970. I just picked up some rally wheels dated 4-14-70. Looking at the threads on rally wheels and how close the dates are to the SPD,  made me  wonder. Since the AAR's were built in batches, is it possible that my car was built AFTER 409? I know Dan has more info on this stuff than most. My vin is 300401.

Do you have a build sheet for the car?  That will tell you when the car was build... Or I should say, that Dan will be able to tell you when it went down the line.

No build sheet. I installed my oem seats into a 73 Challenger and sold it years ago before anyone even talked about build sheets. Not sure if it even had one in the first place. I do have the tag but that's it.

for the most part it appears AARs & T/As were built before their SPDs
I only have a few 409-SPD AAR broadcast sheets & they're "In Plant/In Process": one on 4/2 * three on 4/6 * one on 4/7

what dates are you finding on components known to be original to the car?

Here is a picture of the wheel date codes that were original to a AAR I had years ago dated 12-8-69.

K frame appears to be 092. Lower control arms are 063 and 064. Calipers are 083 and 051. Motor was replaced with warranty short block when I got it.

That's good to know. My car is a N95 car sold new in a Texas.

The green AAR I have here has a VIN of 275397  3-70 on the door sticker and 1-23-70 on each rim.
