So far I haven't found a great fix.  I have two steering columns with both shafts collapsed. Never mind the frustration figuring out the correct lengths, how do I go about securing them in the right spot safely?  I've read drill holes and secure nylon screws in the two holes. Also read just glue them but I'm not sure what will happen if the glue/screws fail with it installed.

You are going to be in bad shape by the time you crush the crush can so the column will collapse .
I do recommend securing the upper & lower shaft together tho as there is only a tiny roll pin in the coupler to prevent the lower shaft from moving up out of the coupler , glue or tack weld woul dbe best , you can drill a small hole & use a nylon pin too

Loctite 660 is what Chrysler use to sell as the repair...  They had it relabeled as Mopar Steering shaft repair but it was Loctite 660.....
