So I picked up this 14X5 large bolt pattern rim last weekend and I am trying to ID what it came on. No part number by the valve stem. Dated 17 May 1971. Has a pentastar stamped on the inside and "14X5J"

From Galen's book, I see 3420976 (Code 15) listed for 70-71 E-bodies. Is that for base models? I didn't know they came with anything that narrow.

Posted over on Moparts as well....

Thanks!

it was the STANDARD wheel on /6 & 318 E-bodies with the STANDARD E78-14 tire

looks like the /6 b-bodies may have also used 14x5.0" wheels with their STANDARD E78-14 tires

GG used the Parts Catalogs, known wheel part numbers & broadcast sheets to "reverse engineer" his wheel part number and application list - there are numerous manufacturers & part numbers for some of the common most used STANDARD wheels
