70 Challenger RT with factory power disk brakes, 440 car. Could this be an original booster? I know the MC on it isn't, but I've found the original 2229171 for that (phew!). I can't seem to find any stampings on the booster.  :help:

That should be the right one for a 70 and early 71 E body.

Coming from you, @JH27N0B I'll take that to the bank. I'll be sending it off to booster Deweys successor ASAP since I located the 2229171 MC yesterday. That heads for restoration/rebuild as well.

@FlatlandTA I'd just pulled it off when you replied. I see both football and round. The 9171 slides right on, but I'm no pro on these. Here's a pic...also a shot of the 9171 base...

All Mopar master cylinders from that era have the same rectangular mounting flange and pattern of the 4 mounting holes.

Looks like a good one

@FlatlandTA I found that date code between the two halves you messaged me about. It's
E9 28258572. Hopefully the E9 is significant to 1969?

Isn't Booster Dewey under new management and perhaps a new company name?  I thought I read that somewhere recently

Here's some pictures of the booster that was on my '70 'Cuda when I bought it.  To my knowledge it is the original booster.

Original on my Challenger, just got it back from the Ram Man who did a great job rebuilding it.

(Had but now gone...2 A12's, 1 Hemi B-body, 3 other B-bodies, 2 other E-bodies and an A-body...a good run!).  See www.DKowal426.com

Whoa! 3 more numbers above the 18268! Gotta go do some wire brushing. Amazing pics, guys. Thanks.

another with the numbers.
I've never seen numbers other than these on an original 70, early 71 booster
....but then, I have not seen them all.
