Ahhh the little surprises in buying a disassembled project. While looking into going through front end suspension items for blast/powder coat, I've discovered that the front sway bar didn't end up in the mix. What's the availability and expected cost of such an item? I'll be seeking one, yet not an emergency.

Are there any differences regarding model year, engine and other options?  I vaguely recall seeing used originals over the last few years ranging between $80 and $200 but wasn't paying close enough attention to know what specific application they were for other than generic E-Body.

Will you be at Carlisle? I could bring one. PM me.
Do you need the bar to K Frame attachment plates (not the isolator saddles)?

I won't be at Carlisle, but yes, I'll be needing associated hardware.

Are you wanting stock originals? If not there are a few aftermarket options for hollow sway bars.

For this car, I'm needing to stay stock as possible.

So I have a guy on eBay offering to sell me this one. "Already painted and with hardware" for $275 plus $50 for the ride. Seems steep?

I vaguely recall the sway bars being different diameters depending on engine and options.

I recall I bought one from a TA/AAR 35 years ago as it was touted as the largest factory diameter.

Skdmark

There were 2 different front sway bars in 1970
Part No. 2835862
Part No. 2948723 unique to T/A and AAR

That ebay price is on the high side.

FWIW, Tony's Parts has the front sway bar by itself listed for $175
I checked Mopar Marketplace on Facebook and there is one listed for a "71 B-body" (per the parts catalog it's same part number as an e-body) for $60 in Fennimore Wisconsin.

There wound up being a guy 5 miles from my home with an e-body parts collection that had several. Not only did he deliver it, but wouldn't take a dime for it. (We've dealt before, great guy).
