I have had two ongoing issues with my car that have prevented me from enjoying driving it.

I am dealing with the temp issue here:

https://forum.e-bodies.org/engine-transmission-and-rear-end/4/trying-to-stay-cool/22554/

The other issue is how rough it rides. That is why I tried the adjustable shocks.

I am running 1 in t-bars and poly bushings, but it always seemed like a pretty rough ride.

I crawled under it the other day and it looks like I have been running on the lower bump stops. See the first two pics.

I bought some low profile bump stops. Check out how much travel I have now!  Just about to go for a ride and see what she does.

So funny thing, I had always read that if you place jack stands under the LCAs the suspension as pictured, in pic 6, the car will sit at ride height. I say that is not the case based on the last two pics. Look at how much space there is between the bump stop and the bracket. That is what I looked at before, so I figured I was good, I guess not!

Well that sure made a difference.

Its still a stiff ride, but that is what I wanted, but it is not a bone jarring as before.

I can actually feel the difference in the settings of the adjustable shocks now!

LOL
You must have thought the adjustments on the shocks were doing sfa....

The Poly bushings will add some harshness to the ride, noticeable but not horrible like hitting the bump-stop will
.
Do you have the torsion bars cranked way down, so it sits low? You really shouldn't be hitting the bump-stop or needing a low profile. If you have it sitting very low I'm surprised you don't get tires rubbing on the fender, I sure did on mine and had to raise it a bit.

to be honest, I was beginning to think I wasted my money on them....I feel better now.  Ii will never ride like a Cadillac, but that's ok, cause its not a Cadillac.

Yah I know the poly bushing will be a little harsh, I want to to corner well, so I will live with it.

Oh yeah I am running it low, torsion bars cranked way down.  The lip of the front wheel well is 24 1/2 inches I think.  No tire rubs.   :lookatthat:

not that I think it would've mattered - it looks like the oe bumpers were installed 90 degrees off - the high point should be front to back

Similar to you,  I'm at 24 1/4".  255's on the front.  5" bs wheels with no rubbing
I have a 3/8" energy suspension bumpers on my lca's.  Downtown speed bumps are sometimes an issue for my collectors.  :o

Camber settings can also impact fender interference, especially with a taller, wider tire.

My Challenger is as low as Jason's Cuda. I also have a 10" wide tire on front.  With rim backspace and alignment, don't have any interference with the tire through its range of motion.

I am at 24 1/4 currently also, wanted a bit lower but had to raise it to prevent tire rubbing. Not had it hit the bump stop though.
I have new Firm Feel 1.06 torsion bars & tubular UCA with Bilstein RCD shocks. Running 225/50R17 Nitto's on front but hope to go up to 255 with some new/correct offset rims.
